MAMBO

Measurement, GA4 and tracking audit. How much of what your ads report actually happened?

We follow every lead and every sale from the moment someone sees your ad until it reaches your sales team: which Meta and Google campaigns bring real business, where contacts get lost and which data is wrong. We tell you what to fix, what it is costing you and in which order. Read only: we never touch your campaigns.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Meta says I sold more than what came into the bank.
  • Leads come in, but I don't know which ones turn into a sale.
  • Contacts get lost between the form, WhatsApp and the CRM, and nobody knows where.
  • I don't understand what's happening with my Meta campaigns: same spend, results going up and down.
  • Google Analytics doesn't match what my sales system says.
  • I have to defend the investment to management with numbers that don't add up.

A 10 to 15% gap between what the platforms report and what you sold is normal. More than that, or a jump from one day to the next, is almost always a technical error.

Why does measurement break without anyone noticing?

Because broken tracking doesn't send alerts. The dashboard stays green, reports keep coming and the Meta and Google algorithms keep optimizing on the error. It's nobody's fault: the site changes, the checkout changes, browsers change, and measurement breaks silently.

How many Argentine ecommerce sites have broken measurement?

We reviewed 618 Argentine ecommerce sites between October 6 and 9, 2026, from the browser and without any access: 208, 1 in 3, have something broken in their measurement that is visible from the outside.

  • 34% Something broken visible from the outside: 208 of 618 sites: 1 in 3.
  • 18% Leftovers of Universal Analytics: Tracking for a version Google shut down in July 2023, still in the code.
  • 11% Two or more Analytics properties at once: Every visit is recorded in more than one dashboard.
  • 10% Analytics code loaded five times or more: The same library, several times on the same page.

What problems does a GA4 audit find?

Two GA4 properties receive every visit

The site sends every visit and every purchase to two Google Analytics properties at the same time. Reports don't match depending on who looks at which dashboard, and Google Ads may import conversions from the wrong property. One property is defined as the source of truth, the conversions Google Ads imports are reviewed and the other one is separated or removed.

Ecommerce is still built for Universal Analytics

The code or the dataLayer still use the Universal Analytics structure, which Google shut down in July 2023. GA4 misreads or doesn't read purchases, sales go unattributed and ads optimize with less signal than they have. The dataLayer moves to the GA4 ecommerce format (product view, cart, purchase) and the old code is removed.

The Analytics code loads five times or more

The Google Analytics library loads five times or more on the same page. It raises the risk of duplicated events and inflated conversions, and the page takes longer to load. Everything is centralized in one Tag Manager container and repeated tags are cleaned up.

What do you get if you send us your site?

It's a real review of an Argentine retailer, anonymized. The same format you receive within 48 business hours: what's visible, why it matters and what to ask your team or agency.

What does a measurement audit review?

  • Lead journey: form, WhatsApp, CRM and sales team response
  • Meta campaigns: what they optimize for, with which signal and what they really bring
  • GA4: properties, events and conversions
  • Tag Manager: duplicated tags and dataLayer
  • Meta pixel and Conversions API
  • GA4 link with Google Ads and enhanced conversions
  • Ecommerce and revenue: what you sold matches what you measure
  • Consent Mode v2

What does the full audit deliver?

  • Report with screenshots: Each finding with evidence of where it is, what it causes and its estimated impact on ad spend.
  • Plan prioritized by money: Ordered by impact on sales and ad spend, not technical severity.
  • Live session: We walk through it with your team or agency. Read-only access, never editing.

Does a measurement audit replace your agency?

No. We don't sell ads or replace your agency. The report helps your agency as much as it helps you: it's the foundation for its optimizations to work.

Who is a GA4 and tracking audit for?

If you invest more than USD 2,000 a month in ads on two or more platforms. Ecommerce and retail, marketplaces, banking and fintech that generate leads. We work with VTEX, Shopify, Tiendanube, Magento, WooCommerce and custom builds.

FAQ

What is a measurement audit?

It is an end-to-end review of how your site records visits, sales and leads in Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Meta and Google Ads. It looks for duplicated, lost or badly linked data, estimates how much it affects your ad spend and orders the fixes by impact.

Shouldn't my agency have caught this?

Not necessarily: measurement breaks with site, checkout or browser changes, and agencies look at campaigns, not the setup. That's why an independent look helps.

Does it affect my running campaigns?

No. We work with read-only access and don't touch anything.

What if you don't find anything?

We tell you. Healthy measurement is a result too: it lets you invest with peace of mind.

Can I hire just the report?

Yes. Implementing the fixes is optional.

How much work does it take from my team?

Very little. For the outside review, the URL is enough. For the full audit, read-only access and a call to walk through the report together.

Why don't GA4 and my sales match?

The most common causes are orders that don't fire the purchase event (payments that finish off-site), duplicated tags that count twice, rejected cookies without Consent Mode and badly linked properties. The audit finds which is your case and how much it weighs.

Do you need access to my accounts?

Not for the first review: we do it from the outside. For the full audit we ask for read-only access, only after the first call. We never edit anything.

How long does it take?

The outside review, 48 business hours. The full audit, 5 to 7 business days from when we have access.

What happens after the audit?

You keep the report and the plan. If you want, our analytics specialist team implements the fixes; it's optional.

Does it help if I already have an agency or in-house team?

Yes, that's when it helps most. We don't compete with your agency: we check that the data it receives is true, so its optimizations work.

What is Conversions API and do I need it?

It's the way to send conversions to Meta from the server, in addition to the browser pixel. It recovers sales the pixel loses to blockers or cookies. If you invest in Meta every month, it almost always pays off.
